ATI Catalyst Control Center for Ubuntu 10.04?

I just made the switch to Linux and have never tried it before. I'm having trouble getting the ATI Catalyst Control Center installed for my XFX ATI RADEON HD 4650 video card. I can't even get the file open. Someone please help me, I'm using dual monitors and the same stuff is displaying on both screens. I need to set my colors too.

Video card driver problem...I think

Howdy folks,

Sound card skipping

I am having issues with my HP dv4. The High def audio codec was throwing my sound into a virtual blender. The login drums are garbled and thump on in a loop for ten seconds after GNOME is up. I have tried a dozen different suggestions, including checking ASLA for muted sliders. I have read the bug results of #268757, 274424 and tried everything. Now I have no sound and apparently I have hidden my sound card altogether. ALSA is missing, as is OSS and my mixer now reads Monitor of Null for both pulse audio selections. I have Ubuntu hardy on my wifes hp and on an old throw away compaq.

disc drive issues

Okay so, I can get the disc drive to read that the disk is there, but when I want to open the disk, nothing happens.

I am not familiar with Linux so I have no idea what I need to do to fix this.

Any help would be greatly appretiated. =)

Trouble Accessing Hard Drives -- [RESOLVED]

I've just installed Mandriva 2009.1, having gotten sick of Ubuntu, or boo-boo. Before anyone says it's a known bug, I've applied all the known fixes and this apparently isn't it.

I have a conglomeration of hard drives and quad boot the machine, so mine is not exactly a common system.

I have 4 DOS 6.22 volumes, 4 W98 volumes, and 3 W2k volumes in this thing, totalling six hard drives. The kicker is, I have NO problem accessing the NTFS volumes. I have issues with the VFAT volumes! They refuse to mount until I use the partition manager, Disk Drake, to mount them!

Cant connect to Wireless router all of a sudden...

hello,

my ubuntu station has worked fine for a while and yesterday when i switched it on to continue with my tutorials on blender, i couldnt connect to the internet all of a sudden. i didnt do anything out of the ordinary. just switched it on and boom, 'wireless connection is disconnected.'

my wireless card works fine in Vista. the card is on and when i click to connect it tries for like a minute then gives me the message. i switched it on and off, typed iwconfig,(which i found in the man of terminal), and it lists my wireless card. restarting doesnt work either.
i dont know why it would work and then just stop.

any help please?
