lynx keymap

Does anyone know how to map 'special' characters in the lynx.cfg file? I've gotten it to work for standard characters. Specifically I'm trying to map the left and right arrow buttons to PREV_LINK and NEXT_LINK.

no sure how to connect to sever

I wasn't even sure if I should put this under networking or total noob.

from what I understand, the host is the computer your using, and the server is any other computer on your network.

I've got three users on my network, bruce, tanya and george

I have three computers I've named lydia, jill and bonnie.

I actually have four computers, but I'm keeping stella out of it for now

I have tanya and bruce set up as users on all three computers and george as a user on jill

I have a group set up I've called maple with each user in it. The id number is 1001

routing table for two machines on same subnet?

I am attempting to connect two machines with IP addresses 192.168.0.9 and 192.168.0.254 respectively via an intermediate machine with two Ethernet interfaces (set with 192.168.0.11 and 192.168.0.12 respectively). The machines are connected to the third machine via cross-over cables. However I am unable to ping either machine from either any of the others. I've also tried creating a bridge using bridge-utils, but that didn't work either, and I'd prefer using route and iptables (if necessary). I don't have any firewall other than that listed below. Can someone tell me how to do this?

Gateway logging

Hi there,

New here, great site.

A computer guy installed our Internet gateway on a Linux box (Slackware 12.2). We don't have access to him anymore. We would like to log how much traffic is going through the gateway. How would we do this? He never installed a GUI, so it is command line only. any help is appreciated or even point me to a how-to somewhere.

Configuring WLAN - Resolved.

Ok, install went fine. I could not find my wireless. Plugged the computer in from the router and was on line immediately.

Then I was unable to configure, kept hitting the root password thing (Root Sudo) and would not accept my 'system password' - found that information and what it meant in the scheme of things.

Ran the suggested cmds: ifconfig, ispci, iwconfig and nothing to work with there.
