I've tried using the largest continues free space but it never works. Should I do the manual partition. IF so what should I do. I am running Windows XP

I don't know the answer to this 100%, but when is empty empty? When is free space free?

If you are running Windows XP then all of the disk will be formatted with NTFS. Is this really FREE? Maybe you still need to create a partition with absolutely nothing on it. Then it will really be contiguous free space.
