Every time I try to run Synaptic Package Manager to install 1 application, it attempts to install many packages. This wouldn't be so bad, except whenever it attempt to install "Open Office Email Merge", my computer locks up. Is there any way to tell Synaptic to NOT install "Open Office Email Merge" so I can get the programs I need?
