Ok... I installed Ubuntu 10.04 on a partition on my external hard drive. I am running Windows 7 on my laptop. I am trying to dual boot. It works fine as long as the external hard drive is plugged in, but if it isn't it won't load the boot loader. I'm not sure how to fix it. When I installed it my intent was to use the Windows bootloader, but now it is using GRUB which is why it can't find the bootloader if the external hard drive isn't plugged in. What can I do to fix it? Please help!
*EDIT*
I don't necessarily want to use the windows boot loader... grub is fine and probably better. I just need it to load the bootloader without the external hard drive plugged in.
