disc drive issues

Okay so, I can get the disc drive to read that the disk is there, but when I want to open the disk, nothing happens.

I am not familiar with Linux so I have no idea what I need to do to fix this.

Any help would be greatly appretiated. =)

Is it a CD disc? a Floppy Disc, a Hard Disc? Do you see any error messages when you try and open the disc?

How are you trying to open the disc?

What do you expect to see on the disc?

Is it a Microsoft Windows or Mac OS formatted disc or is it a Linux formatted disc?
